#JCarEats | All Purpose, D.C.

So I recently went to All Purpose for my birthday, and I absolutely loved it. All Purpose is an extremely cute, small restaurant serving pizza and other exquisite Italian fare. Their pizzas taste like brick oven goodness and are all super unique! You can also build your own though if you want to create your own pizzazz. (See what I did there?) They have a great selection of craft beers and I personally liked the small cocktail selection.

We ordered the following:
Aperol Spritz – Aperol, prosecco, orange
Fried Meatballs – mozzarella-stued, straciatella, saron tomato sauce, focaccia
Crispy Roasted Garlic Knots – parmesan fonduta, herb butter
Bueno Pizza – tomato, pepperoni, mozzarella, chili honey, basil, grana

I must say that everything was absolutely amazing. The friend meatballs are delectable, boasting mozzarella cheese inside, my absolute favorite. Hey, add cheese onto anything and you’ve just about swooped me away to paradise. The garlic knots I had read about before coming here so I knew I had to try them. They are definitely different than anything you are probably imagining right now. For one, they are huge and they taste more like fried dough because they are a tad sweet. I must say I missed the taste of a true garlic knot upon first bite, but mixing the roll with the smooth fonduta (melted cheese) topping it comes with is an amazing combination. It truly makes the dish. Lastly, the pizza. It was amazing. We went with the Buona because it had toppings that both my boyfriend and I liked (although the spackler looked amaze!). I have to admit my favorite part about the pizza was the fact that I could taste the honey they had added to it. What an awesome little kick! All in all I have nothing but good things to say about this spot. In addition to having super kind staff, our waitress surprised me with a birthday cake slice and candle since she learned it was my birthday early on in the evening. Such a kind, sweet gesture and it really made my night. Truly recommend All Purpose!
